Criticism
Luis Gutierréz the critic Robert Parkers wrote in 2022: "Although the 2020 is already on the shelves, I also tasted the 2019 Pétalos, a very balanced vintage with moderate alcohol and great balance. It is already very accessible, aromatically open and, contrary to what the labels say, the wine seems fresher than the 2020. This wine is made from about 80% purchased grapes and 20% from grapes from their own vineyards. It tastes of berries, but also of herbs; it is aromatic and complex and has very fine tannins. It is a classic continental vintage from Bierzo. 313,000 bottles and 1,000 magnums were produced." |
