Luis Gutiérrez, the critic of Robert Parker writes:
"I tasted again the jammy 2017 Paydos, the wine from Toro that reflects a warm and dry year with high maturity and the usual 14.5% alcohol. It comes from 80-year-old vines in Morales de Toro, where they made it have to escape the killer freeze of the year. It matured for 15 months in 20% new casks. It develops well and slowly, retaining the juicy, jammy, fruity and mature character of the year with ripe fruit flavors on the finish. 5,700 bottles were bottled in March Bottled in 2019."
