Criticism
Luis Gutierréz the critic Robert Parkers wrote in 2021: "The 2015 Finca Dofí is mostly Garnacha with a 4% dash of Cariñena and some white grapes from the vineyard that gives it its name. Although there are some differences, especially in the margins and extremes, most of the soils in Priorat are very similar, with decomposed shale called "llicorella". Most of Palacios' wines are made in a very similar way, with natural fermentation of the destemmed and crushed grapes in oak barrels and ageing for 16 months in oak barrels - in this case larger bocoys and foudres. This wine has gained in drinkability since 2010-2011, and this lighter vintage feels even more approachable, with very clean flavours and unobtrusive tannins. It finishes very tasty with subtle earthiness. 22,742 bottles were produced. It was bottled in March 2017." |
