Notes of ripe white fruit (pears, apples...) and stone fruit (apricots) and hints of citrus and herbaceous nuances.
Colour: Intense pale yellow colour with darker golden reflections on its surface
Palate: The Balado 2021 is acidic and very juicy on the palate.
Overall result: An age-worthy white wine that will develop well over the next 5-10 years due to its high acidity

Criticism

The Balado from 2021 was fully malolactic and the grapes were less ripe than those from 2022, resulting in a wine with half a degree less alcohol, which it needed to balance the acidity. It is sharp and austere, vertical and very flavourful on the palate. It's a vintage that could be similar to 2013, a year with a lot of malic acidity, but the wine doesn't have a lactic character. It has a herbal note and very tasty, already complex flavours. I think it will age well.
